First, a disclaimer! If you are a subscriber and you do not want a spoiler of what is in the February Amazebox, skip this post! I usually wait until the next month to post the contents so I don’t ruin it for people who like to be surprised. However, we’ve FINALLY gotten caught up on Amazebox subscribers, which means no more waitlist!! In light of this, I’ll be posting the current box’s contents so people can decide if they’d like to order that month’s box. Effective and All Natural Eczema Treatment

Anyone struggles with eczema or has watched a family member or friend deal with it, knows how difficult it can be. My middle daughter has struggled with eczema every winter since she was born. We are lucky that during the summer months her skin is clear but as soon as the weather changes, eczema is back to rear its ugly head. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it is for her. We have come up with a couple tricks that have help tremendously.

  1. Avoiding too many baths. This will be one to experiment for yourself but we learned that baths actually dry her out and cause her eczema to flair. In theory, baths are supposed to add moisture to your skin, for us it was opposite. We do no more than 2 baths per week during the winter.
  2. Long pants and sleeves to sleep. Bless her heart, our daughter will scratch while she sleeps. Its heartbreaking to wake up and find little blood spots on her sheets where she scratched during the night and didn’t even realize she was doing it. Sleeping with long sleeves and long pants has helped that problem tremendously!
  3. Keeping her cool at night. I could have listed this as 2b, because it goes along with my second point. Sweating can irritate eczema and even cause a heat rash in little ones. So while we need to her to sleep with long sleeves and pants, we are sure to keep her room a bit cooler so she doesn’t get too warm throughout the night.
  4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Twice a day, everyday, even if you don’t see any inflammation. Staying ahead of the rash is always my main goal. I never take for granted that her eczema is gone because every time I’ve thought she’s beat it, it showed me just how naïve I am. Our favorite lotion to use for her eczema is a body lotion by LimeLife by Alcone called “Forty Cure Creme.” Its the only lotion that I have found that doesn’t “burn” her skin when we put it on. Many lotions contain fragrances and other ingredients that irritate her eczema. No tears with this one!!

Forty Cure Creme is an all natural, paraben free hand and body cream. It contains a blend of Citrus and Lavender Essential Oils, and a valuable main ingredient, Tamanu Seed Oil. This oil is derived from the Tamnau Seed, also known as Foraha. It comes from a giant tree in Tahiti that is dubbed by locals as the “forty-cure tree.” It has many pain-relieving and healing properties that are great for chapped skin, caused by environmental factors or eczema. This oil is used to treat wounds, rashes, burns, eczema, rosacea, dry skin, and many other skin ailments.

You can apply the Forty Cure Creme as often as needed. For extra hydrations, liberally apply the lotion to your hands and feet, then wrap in mittens and booties to help with maximum absorption. We like to apply right before we slide on her long sleeve jammies and pants!

I found some client testimonials, read their reviews plus check out these before and after’s to see how other people have benefited from Forth Cure Creme as well!

People also like to pair Forty Cure Creme with another product, One Drop Wonder. One Drop Wonder is a carrier oil so it helps other products be absorbed deeper into the skin. Its made of one simple all natural ingredient, Pomifera Oil. It can be mixed with any products to act as a booster to enhance that product’s benefits.

I know that I am not alone in trying a million products to help with my daughter’s eczema, as well as prescription ointment from the doctor. This has been our staple product for years. You can rest easy in the fact that this product is all natural, safe for children.

You can order it here. If you’d like to pair it with the One Drop Wonder, you’ll receive free shipping. Don’t forget, LimeLife has a 30 day 100% happiness guarantee.

Master List of Tax Deductions for Your MLM Business

Tax season is upon us! Even though the new year has just begun, here in the states, employers are required to send out their W2s by January 31st. Some people are anxiously awaiting their W2s so that they can go ahead, file their taxes, and receive their return. With this in mind, I wanted to provide a list of tax write offs for your network marketing business. My business, as you probably know, is LimeLife so on this master list you will see things specific to the beauty industry. If that’s not you, this list is still VERY applicable. You just need to make some modifications.

Office Supplies

This category is pretty well known but just in case you need a refresher, you can write off any office supply that pertains to your business. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Printer
  • Ink
  • Paper
  • Computer or Tablet (if you’ve bought it in this tax year)
  • Envelopes
  • Office decorations
  • Planners
  • White Boards
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Notepads
  • Staples
  • Paperclips
  • Label Maker

Tools for Online Marketing

This category is for people who market their products online, especially applicable for 2020 when a majority of our business was done on social media and zoom calls.

  • Lighting
  • Tripod for your phone or tablet
  • Any Zoom Fees
  • Scheduler App Fees
  • Internet Bill
  • Phone and phone bills
  • Any app fee for editing pictures (for example, I highly recommend Canva Pro)
  • Any stock photo fees

Parties/Vendor Events

As you all know, I represent a cosmetic brand so some of these items may be specific to the beauty industry. I listed them to help give ideas, but you can apply the sample principles to your business.

  • Signage
  • Makeup Applicators/tools/brushes
  • Samples to hand out

Home Expenses

This category gets a little bit touchy. The government is very strict about what you call a home office. Just because you work from your couch, doesn’t mean that your living room is an office. You need to use the space exclusively for your business. Its very important to talk with your tax preparer, especially when it comes to this category.

  • Percentage of your home mortgage for office
  • Percentage of your property taxes
  • Percentage of your mortgage interest
  • Percentage of your homeowner insurance
  • Percentage of your utilities
  • Office repairs you’ve made throughout the year

Did I forget something? Leave it in the comments!

Hope this helps!

December 2020 Amazebox

My favorite delivery every month! If you have never heard of the Amazebox, its LimeLife by Alcone’s subscription box. In short, its the beauty industry’s only professional cosmetic subscription box. To learn the details, I have a blog post that outlines everything you need to know. Check that out here!

I like to wait until the end of the month, if not the next month, to post about it because I don’t want to spoil anyone’s surprise. The Amazebox is currently sold out but we release a few thousand more boxes each month. To get a reminder when the boxes come back in stock, leave me a comment on this post and I’ll be sure to let you know so you can snag one of your own!

While the box may be sold out, all of the products inside the box are available individually.

Every month there is a new theme, that is carried throughout the products and even the box! This month’s theme was “At-Home Holiday Looks.”

How darling is this?! Inside each Amazebox is a little card that tells you what the box contains and a description of each product. There is also a themed sticker, and a quote card.

The card reads:

At-Home Holiday Looks

We love red lips this time of year- there’s no quicker way to get in the holiday spirit! Experiment with different combinations of Enduring Lip Color, Enduring Lip Liner and Perfect Lipstick in our favorite red shades until you find the look that you love. Keep the rest of your look simple with a swipe of Making Waves Waterproof Mascara, and then start painting the town red from the comfort of home!

* Pair a bold red lip with candy cane striped pajamas for a playful photo shoot

* Leave a kiss mark on the mirror for a loved one to find in the morning

* Boost holiday spirit on work Zoom calls with a festive pout and fun earrings.

Let’s take a deeper look into these products, and of course I’ll include some swatches so you can see what they look like out of the tube!

Enduring Lip Color in “Cherry Pie”

“This professional formula applies as a liquid and transforms to a matte, velvety finish with long-lasting, intense opaque color. Use alone or in combination with other shades to create unique color combinations.”

Perfect Lipstick in “Paint the Town”

“Our lipsticks come in two professional formulas, opaque and sheet, so you can change how much color emphasis you want on your lips each day. Our Power Pout formula is opaque and highly pigmented for a bold pop of color that lasts.”

Paint the Town is a beautiful opaque lipstick!

Enduring Lip Liner in “True Red”

“Our Enduring Lip Liners are always on point and ready to line. Their automatically self-sharpening packaging sharpens the tip with every twist of the cap to create perfectly lined lips every time. The semi-matte, high coverage formula lasts 6 hours or more without feathering or transferring and has a lightweight feel.”

Mini Making Waves Waterproof Mascara

“Make a splash with mascara that lasts! Our waterproof mascara gives maximum volume and hold while nourishing lashes.”

I loved this box so much! All these products are staples to have in your makeup bag! The total for the products inside was approximately $70. You can’t get the mini Waterproof Mascara but I calculated using half the price of the full size. The Amazebox is $42 so the savings was like getting one lipstick and the mascara for free!

The last AmazeBox of 2020 did not disappoint! Bring on 2021!

The Boxing Day Sale You Don’t Want to Miss!

Even if you’re in the United States, you can still take advantage of LimeLife’s Boxing Day Sale! That’s good news to us, who usually don’t get to participate in all the good deals!

Not only is there a Lip Combo sale but Holiday Collections are also on sale!!

One of my favorite things about our LimeLife lip products is how well they work together. Select your choice of one Enduring Lip Liner or Perfect Lip Gloss, plus one Perfect Lipstick or Enduring Lip Color. That’s a savings of up to $16 USD and $20 CAD.

That comes out to $14 per lippie, those are Walgreens prices for professional makeup! Who doesn’t love a great lippie sale?! I mean, look at these beauties!

Just to clarify, you get the choice of either an enduring lip liner or gloss and a lipstick, or an enduring lip color (matte liquid lipstick)

Almost endless combinations so I have grabbed some pics to help you chose which 2 lippies would be best for you. I love that all of these can be worn on their own or paired together. If the name of the lip products are not typed on the picture, then they are in the caption under it.
